On the eve of Rowans 4 month birthday (that sounds super serious) here I am wondering where the past 4 months have gone. Honestly, correction. Wondering where the past 4 years have gone! In 2015 my husband and I packed up our West Coast life and moved here to sunny South Florida.
Before coming here I was an avid blogger, posting multiple times a week, attending blog meetups and conferences, practically living and breathing all things blog related. My time in California and Las Vegas was inspiring, exciting, always busy and always share-worthy. I was so excited to write everything down and share it with the world! Now don’t get me wrong. Moving to Miami was incredibly exciting and shareable but my focused shifted away from my trusty blog to the booming Instagram mania. I was constantly on the go, worked for one of Wynwoods biggest and most well known marketing companies, and lived for those gram-worthy moments.
About two years after moving here life really took over so to speak. My husband and I moved outside of the city to our first suburban environment which was quite a transition. We adopted a second dog, bought a house and became pregnant with our amazing little boy Rowan. Once again AM took a backseat as life flew past me month after month.
So, here I am. 4 months into life with Ro, figuring out how to navigate motherhood and absolutely LOVING every second of it. I realized this week that I finally feel like I have words to write again. There is soooo much that I have learned over this past year of pregnancy, childbirth and the newborn phase. I could literally talk about it all day. So all of a sudden boom. Re-inspired. I guess this post will serve as the next transition of AM into a motherhood focused lifestyle blog. If you keep reading and join me on this journey, I promise to keep it super honest and super interesting! I’ll wrap it here but stay tuned for my first round of posts coming in the next week or two. I’ll be talking pregnancy favorites, my birth experience, how I navigated the newborn phase and where we are at during month 4!
