Happy Saturday guys! Yes, I am reporting live from right outside Hurricane Irma. We are stocked up with food, water, and a ton of booze. Hopefully we don’t get hit that badly, but in the mean time I figured this would be a good way to stay occupied (while we have power). Back in June Jamie and I made another trip back to one of our favorite places, New Orleans. We’re definitely creatures of habit and always visit a few staples when we go, but this past time we found some really amazing new places. One of those being Bacchanal Wine! Bacchanal is NOLA’s backyard party. It looks like a small roadside market but once you go inside, it’s wall to wall lined with the most incredible selection of wine.
Once you pick out your selection you can head out back (and grab a bucket of ice on the way) to the backyard garden. Out here they have live music in the afternoons and at night. Oh and did I mention there’s also a small food window and a large fridge where you can pick out and create your own cheese board? Yeah, heaven. We had such a good time enjoying an awesome bottle of rose and some charcuterie.
Bacchanal is outside the French Quarter, but is 100000% worth the quick uber ride to get you there. I would absolutely recommend blocking out an afternoon or evening to spend there on your next Nola trip!
