Ok guys… are you ready for 4 months worth of catching up? I hope so because here we go!
Most of you have been following me for years. I launched this blog back in 2009 and it has gone through some major changes since then, as have I. I’ve moved across country, started a new company, and have shifted my overall blogging focus several times from fashion, to food, travel, lifestyle and more. These days I fall solidly in the lifestyle category which I am more than ok with. What you may have noticed over the past few months however which is probably the biggest shift in almost 10 years, is that I just haven’t been posting much at all. Going from a new post every week and at least 2 Instagram updates a day, believe me when I say it’s been as big of a change for me as it has been for you. And you can probably already tell from the title of this blog post who I’m about to blame it on!
YES, it’s true!! We are expecting a new addition to our family, our first without paws (LOL). Our little man is due in early February and we are over the moon excited.
That being said, how has this affected my life over the past few months? Dramatically. First of all finding out you are pregnant is such a massive shift in your state of mind. I can’t even begin to describe everything that ran through my brain when I found out. Second, physically you’re affected. Overall I had it really lucky in the first trimester with little to no morning sickness or nausea. I was tired but a quick afternoon nap took care of that. I’ve been able to maintain my work schedule with ease and have been putting all my efforts into preparation for the holidays and the spring.
Here’s what I know as of today!
- I am half way through this entire experience, and that is so crazy! Time is flying.
- I plan on taking off a good chunk of time in the spring, but knowing me i’ll probably still attend our weekly meetings and make sure i’m in the loop with everything business wise.
- This little guy loves peanut butter and bananas (my only real craving so far) and is super super active! They have barely been able to get pictures of him during our ultrasounds so far.
Overall I’m taking it day by day and seriously loving everything about this time. I feel amazing and I just can’t wait until he gets here!
