Not Your Daddy’s BBQ at MTO Cafe

I take all my friends that visit from SF there for brunch, and often stop by for lunch with my co-workers. It’s become one of those go-to places for me where I know anybody I bring along will have a great experience! Last Sunday I was really excited to be part of their first ever Sunday Night Supper Series – Not Your Daddy’s BBQ. The night consisted of 5 of Las Vegas’s favorite chefs, friends, family, great local beer, and one impressive menu. Here’s a look at our awesome night!

The Chefs:

Johnny Church / MTO Cafe – RM Seafood – RX Boiler Room

Tim Doolittle / Table 10

Vincent Pouessel / Aureole

Michael Van Staden / Bacchanal

Marty Lopez / 35 Steak and Martinis

Menu Highlights: Johnny Church’s two selections were definitely on the top of my list, as well as Heidi Koval’s killer citrus cheesecake. A surprising favorite was also Vincent Pouessel’s Grilled Blue Cobia – wow! We also really enjoyed sampling the beers from Banger Brewing and I can’t wait to stop by their Fremont St. location to try more.

Lucky I had 4 friends that agreed to tag along so we got to try almost everything on the menu. We were also sent home with a jar of Johnny Churches famous Bread & Butter Pickles. So cool! It was a great night and the MTO staff made everybody feel right at home. We were so glad to be a part of this new series and can’t wait for the next one!
