Crispy Baked Asian Salmon


Salmon is one of those great ingredients I’ve really come to appreciate over time. It is such a versatile protein and there are so many ways to spice it up! This recipe for Crispy Baked Asian Salmon from my favorite food blogger Iowa Girl Eats is just one example. Check it out below!

What you’ll Need:

4 salmon fillets (5-6oz each)
salt and pepper
1-1/2 Tablespoons almond butter (could use peanut butter)
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 Tablespoon mirin
1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 garlic clove, microplaned or minced
1/2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (I used China Bowl Select brand)
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
2/3 cup panko bread crumbs
2 Tablespoons sesame seeds
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
fresh lime wedges, for squeezing

The thing I really love about this recipe is the ingredients are all great things to have on hand. I use soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds and all the oils listed here on a weekly basis. Part of expanding your food horizons is just having the right ingredients around, so this is a good list to get you started!
